The Innovation Zone consists of schools that are located across the district, span all grade levels, and include neighborhood schools and open-enrollment campuses without attendance boundaries. The Innovation Zone leverages the in-district charter and Senate Bill 1882 school governance model to empower educators to launch bold school transformation initiatives, grant deeper levels of school autonomies in exchange for greater levels of performance accountability, and serve as a learning lab to scale best practices for teaching and learning across the district.
